How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
We use a high-energy, narrowly focused laser beam that is directed at the hair follicle below the skin. The pigment in the hair follicle absorbs the energy from the laser light and converts the light energy into heat energy. The heat energy then limits the pigment (colour) in the hair and restricts the ability of the hair to re-grow from the follicle.
Most people find the laser hair removal process is completely painless, however much does depend an individual’s sensitivity. The treatment is entirely safe, and all our lasers are expertly calibrated by specialist laser technicians.
Laser treatments for hair removal are spaced between 4 to 6 weeks apart, and between 6 to 10 treatments are needed to achieve lasting results. We offer treatment packages appropriate to your needs.
As you progress through each treatment, the hair will grow back slower and finer until the hair follicle eventually produces very little hair or no hair at all.
During the treatment, we will provide you with special safety goggles to ensure your optimal safety.

Preparing for Laser Hair Removal Treatment
In advance of starting your hair removal treatment, you will need to:

Stay out of the sun for at least two weeks.

âAvoid using any spray tan or self-tanning lotion at least a week before treatment.â

Shave the area the night before or the day of treatment.

Ensure the skin area is hygienically washed and clear of moisturizers, creams or lotions.
After Your Hair Removal Treatment:

You may feel the sensation of a very mild sunburn for up to two hours after your treatment, but this will subside rapidly.

âAfter the treatment, always use the highest level of sun protection, SPF 50 cream, on the treated areas and avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after treatment.

Do not wax between laser sessions (you can shave if necessary).have the area the night before or the day of treatment.ââ

"Can I have laser hair removal treatment if I have red hair, blond hair or grey hair?"
Unfortunately, blond, grey, white and red hair do not respond well to laser hair treatment and we do not recommend treatment if you have these hair colours. The pigment in the hair is key to heating the follicle and preventing future hair growth.
